Welcome to David Moore Photography
At one time I used to travel a lot and had more energy for early starts which landscape photography often required. When Covid came along I decided to have a go at astrophotography as that could be done from the back garden. A long rather frustrating and often exasperating learning curve ensued but after about three years things have settled down and now setting up the equipment for a nights shoot only takes about 30 mins instead of sometimes much of the evening, if at all. It is rather satisfying to be able to image dozens of faint galaxies billions of light years away from earth with only a rather basic 8 inch Newtonian telescope and a not particularly dark sky.
We used to live in Lockerbie and I worked at a remote observatory where the skies there were wonderfully dark. One could bump into the garden shed because it was invisible it was so dark.
